I enjoyed your post as always, Alison. I especially like that shot of the Great Horned Owl, and of course, the Great Blue Herons are always among my favorites.
Thanks Bob! I can hardly wait to go back because of the opportunities for taking photos of Herons. I saw as many as 8 together at a time in some of the fields. Just too far for a good picture. I seem to have much better luck with owls. 🙂
What a fantastic place!! thanks for sharing that! Great photos as usual, I *love* the owl ! 🙂
Thanks Calee! I have pretty good luck finding owls. So glad you stopped in and liked it.
I have a tough time getting close to our Great Blue Herons although I think they are really neat. They are just too alert and skittish. Loved the photos of the owls.
Thanks Jo Ann. I have the same problem with Herons. They always fly away before I can get close. I noticed the Herons on the Refuge were not so skittish as you say. I hope I can get better photos when I visit again. Thanks for visiting. 🙂
That shot of Shasta takes me back – lovely.
Thanks. I loved visiting there. Already planning a return trip.
Nature at its finest! And what magnificent birds. 🙂
